What is The Purge Anarchy about?
The Purge: Anarchy is a horror film that focuses on a night in America where all crime, including murder is legal for twelve hours. The story line is broken up into multiple people’s events that they get up to in this dreadful night. Some people are after revenge, others cruelty, vengeance, money and much more. Some people’s objectives are a lot more cruel then others, but that is the price that they pay for having the purge night annually. Anarchy is the second The Purge horror film out of several that are made. It was created in 2014, and the first one was simply called The Purge. You can read the review for the first one here.
Would horror lovers enjoy this film?
The Purge: Anarchy was a huge improvement from the first of the purge movies, as it focused more on what the public are doing on this crazy night. We feel from having many conversations about this film, some people hate it, and others love it. Definitely a marmite type of horror movie. The film itself is not something that we would rate very highly in terms of true horror, however, definitely an incredibly fun horror movie to watch if you are bored, or simply just having some friends round. In Eff Your Review’s opinion, The Purge Anarchy is the best purge film out of all of them so far. The second best being Election Year, then The First Purge and finally The Purge.
