What is Look Away about?
Look Away is a horror film about a girl named Maria who is a lonely, bullied high school teenager. She soon realises that she can communicate with another side of her through mirrors. She learns to communitate with this other person in the mirror though, until she ends up becoming friends with her. She helps her to stand up for herself more, however, this positive relationship that they both have changes, after her mirror self ends up controlling her life in more ways then just the one. This begins to turn nasty, as once she lets this side of her into her life, she can’t find a way to go back. The horror film Look Away is currently on Netflix right now, so if you are a member to this service then you can watch it through that method. It is also on Amazon Prime.
What would horror lovers think about this film?
This film isn’t particularly scary, but is something decent that you can put on if you are eating food at home or just relaxing and need something to watch. Look Away kept us interested throughout it, and we can imagine this type of film to be played by friends when they are together. You can probably go without seeing it though if you are a passionate horror film lover, but if you watch horror every now and then, you may enjoy this. Overall, we thought the film was okay, but we wouldn’t go and watch it again. It wasn’t the type of horror film that stands out either.
