What is It Comes At Night about?
It comes at night is a horror film that focuses on a fear of the evil outside. Two families are in a secure location, and both scared to go outside due to the unnatural sounds and monsters that could be lurking there. The paranoia within the two families grows more and more increasingly throughout the whole film. The question is though, is there a right to be afraid of the outside world? What type of monsters could be out there, and if real, how dangerous are they? Watch the horror film It Comes At Night to find out these answers. What would horror lovers think about this film?
Unfortunately, we personally did not enjoy this film. The build ups used take way too long, and the majority of the film is seriously dark. We understand that the film is based indoors, but it is unbelievably hard to even understand what is going on most of the time, due to how dark the film’s lighting is. If you are a horror lover, then you may enjoy this film, but we wouldn’t put it on our top 10 list or anything like that. The reason why we feel that you may enjoy it, is because it follows similar conventions as incredible horrors such as The Witch, Killing of a Sacred Deer, The Lighthouse and many more, but it just didn’t quite get there for us unfortunately. We felt that the twist just didn’t quite make it to that standard. However, we do have a great deal of respect for the director, by not taking the easy way out and giving cheap jump scares.
