The horror film connects both the films really well, but you definitely have to have seen the first one before watching this one. That is because Chapter 2 continues from the first film. What would horror lovers think about this film?
Insidious Chapter 2 is an example of using every horror method in the book, but implementing it well. The films story line itself isn’t really that scary, but there is literally a jump scare every five minutes, making it hard to relax in any way when watching, and additionally getting you at a state of constant fear and anxiety throughout. This is actually quite a new approach which we haven’t seen very often. Usually jump scare type horror films tend to have around four or five jump scares, which were constructed through intense build ups of story line, camera shots and music. However the horror film Insidious Chapter 2 just completely ignores this rule, and ends up throwing in a jump scare one after the other after the other throughout most of the film. It’s actually really impressive because it works and scared the sh*t out of us constantly. If one jump scare wasn’t that scary then in five minutes we’ll be having another one. A really good watch!
