What is Hereditary about?
Hereditary is a horror film that was released in 2018. The story line (without any spoilers) is about a Grand Mother of a family that passes away and the rest of the family are slowly revealed to even more secrets about the family that they did not previously know. During this time, the son in the family commits a massive accident involving his sister and him, which causes a huge divide within the family dynamic. Will horror lovers enjoy watching Hereditary?
It is often hard to find a decent horror film these days, especially when you have seen so many, but this film stood out to us at Eff Your Review like a sore thumb. It was truly a blessing to stumble across such an unbelievably incredible horror film. The story line is petrifying, the acting is brilliant and the suspend is intense. This is one of those horror films that will leave even the true horror fanatics creeped the hell out! Hereditary is everything that you want from a horror film. A horrifying plot, an absolute gem of a jump scare and an ending that will have you thinking about it for days. Hereditary made it to Eff Your Review’s Top 10 Horror Films list, at number 3. Incredibly enough, the same director (Ari Aster) also features another film on this list called Midsommar.
