What is House of 1000 Corpses about?
House of 1000 Corpses is a horror film about a group of journalistic travellers who are exploring through America, to write about each place they visit. They hear about the tail of Dr Satan, who is one of the more evil characters known to man. Dr Satan has a passion for torture, and is something that interested on the travellers. After exploring a horror tour, they end up picking up a hitch hiker, but things get constantly worse after that. They end up getting a flat tyre, and need to go back to the hitch hikers house which isn’t too far away. They soon realise that there is no way out of this house, and the family are incredibly sadistic. Have they made a terrible mistake by going back to that house? Would horror film lovers enjoy this film?
This film literally has everything, from murder to truly evil characters. I feel slightly biased writing this review, as we love Rob Zombies horror films, however after seeing this movie many, many times we still love it just as much as the first time. This is the first film of the trilogy, and is based around holiday seekers who are lost, that end up becoming victims of a crazy family who are sadistic in every sense of the word. The film is gory, scary, eerie and creative, making it a definite watch for horror film lovers. We enjoyed it very much!
